The library’s summer reading program, Reading Saves the Day, opens with a display of magical powers when the library welcomes Danny Magic on Wednesday, June 24th at 6:30PM. This magical program kicks off our event filled summer. Each child attending will receive a super prize. Registration is required.
July is jam packed with events. One of our featured events is a visit from the Beardsley Zoo. Animal events are always popular and space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon. For the younger summer readers, we have a drop in Movement Class on Friday mornings.
Other July events include Extreme Karate, Book Time with Ronald McDonald, The Three Not So Little Pigs, Pinocchio, Kahana Hula and more.
August presents many opportunities for children to have fun at the library as well. Join us for Bingo, Triumphant Tales, Family Storytime and more.
The summer closes with our Grand Finale featuring the Harlem Wizards, 2 giant bounces for children to play in, face painting and treats from Rita’s. All children who register to attend will receive a special prize pack. Come on down to the Children’s Department and register to join in the fun.
