If you are a bargain shopper or want to be one (and in these economic times, who doesn’t?), this is the place for you.  I knew there was a need to spread my love of the deal, when even my college age daughter was impressed that I found $10 off and free shipping coupons for a recent online purchase.  She had no idea that online purchases, including sale items, could be further discounted by coupons out in cyberspace, just waiting to be used.

She was so impressed that she wrote an article about finding online coupons in her college newspaper.  She spread the word and I thought I should too.  Now we both search the net before making any online or retail purchases.  That’s right, retail stores and even grocery stores have coupons on the Internet, just waiting to save you money.

What better way to spread the word than to create a list of some of the best deal sites?  I visit some of these sites for a quick, five minute once over on a daily basis because some of the most drastic savings are available for one day only or sell out very quickly.  There is some repetition from site to site, but less than you’d think.

As with any recommendation, please do your homework.  If you want to order through one of the sites or a store linked at one of the sites, Google the store and check out their reputation.  Look for product and seller reviews.  Neither the Southington Library nor I can guarantee the accuracy of these sites, the quality or value of the products you may purchase or be held liable for any damages sustained through interaction with these sites.  Inclusion in this list does not constitute an endorsement from me or the Southington Public Library.

If you have a favorite web site you’d like to recommend, I’d love to hear from you.  Please post it in the comment section below.  Posts are moderated and may not appear immediately.  You may also post your comments on experiences with various web sites.  I will post all appropriate comments.
