It’s not too late to register for summer reading and join the fun. We have weekly prizes for all participating readers and programs scheduled on almost every day. Our drop-in programs, available to any registered summer reading participants without registration, include Family Storytime, Bingo, Make-It-Monday, and Movement Class for preschoolers. We still have openings in our Book Voyagers program for children ages 6-10 and an adult, Family Night at the Improv (we’ve hired a comedy troupe straight from their off-Broadway show in New York City) and our Grand Finale. At our Grand Finale we have a performer, DJ, 2 bounces, face painting, Rita’s water ice, a prize bag for all children attending and more. Summer will be over before you know it, so don’t miss out. For more information on summer reading, please stop by the Children’s Services Desk. Thanks to Lucy Lew for her fabulous photo of Alex the Jester. If you take a fabulous photo, send it to me and I might and post it on the blog.
